Ali Muharremoğlu stated that they reached a record-breaking number of exhibitors and visitors at this year’s autumn exhibitions, and emphasized that the interest shown to Eurasia Packaging, Food-Tech Eurasia, and Wood Processing Machinery - Intermob exhibitions was very promising. Muharremoğlu underlined that the recent geopolitical developments did not have the expected impact on the number of exhibitors, and said “Turkey has a dynamic and strong economy. We believe that our country has great potential to continue growing. We expected to have a slight decline in our international attendance due to the geopolitical developments in our region however contrary to our expectations, there was a remarkable number of international visitors in both shows, particularly from the Eurasian region.” 55,704 visitors from 94 countries, 1114 exhibitors from 45 countries Stressing the record-breaking number of visitors at this year’s Eurasia Packaging Fair, Muharremoğlu expressed, “We are honoured to have hosted this year’s Eurasia Packaging Fair where packaging products that are a part of our daily lives were on display. Our exhibitors came together with groups of buyers from all around the world, especially from the Eurasian region. Business partnerships were established on an area of 110,000 sqm, consisting of 12 halls. The visitors were mainly from Algeria, Tunisia, Macedonia, Israel, Georgia, Libya, Jordan, Lebanon, Greece, Iraq, Iran, Bulgaria, Germany, Azerbaijan, Albania, and Serbia.” Wood Processing Machinery and Intermob attracted 71,581 visitors, the highest number reached in the history of the shows Muharremoğlu pointed out that Wood Processing Machinery and Intermob exhibitions which bring together local and international professionals in the industry, has been declared a great success by exhibitors and visitors. “These two exhibitions which were held in late October, hosted 861 brands from 30 countries and a total of 71,581 visitors from 103 countries. We broke a new record with these exhibitions which always have had a high number of international visitors in previous editions. We aim to raise the bar next year and host even more international exhibitors and visitors.” Exhibitors share the same remark: More fruitful and efficient than other exhibitions The exhibitors of Eurasia Packaging mentioned that the event delivered above their expectations. The Representative of International Engineering Union from Egypt said “I would like to say that the visibility that this fair provides is paramount for us. Having a good impression in the Turkish market is one of our most valuable and core principles.” An official of the Chinese Labthink company said, “The exhibition, the space and the energy of the people are very beautiful. We achieved the results that we wanted and the Turkish hospitality is impressive. I would like to thank everyone who has taken part in the organization of this exhibition.” Official of Cartiera di Ferrara from Italy stated, “We are happy to be an exhibitor of a very dynamic and well-prepared exhibition. As a professional from the industry, I find this event more fruitful and efficient than the other exhibitions.” Loglio Spa, another Italian company exhibiting in the event, said, “This is the biggest exhibition in this region. It is one of the largest exhibitions covering the Eurasian market. This offers a significant advantage for Turkey and Italy. Considering the geographical location, it is a highly satisfying event for our company.” A visitor from Azersun Holding, a leading establishment in Azerbaijan, said, “It was a wonderful experience to get information about packaging solutions at this exhibition”, demonstrating that the event achieved a roaring success. In 2017, Eurasia Packaging Fair and Food-Tech Eurasia will be held on October 25-28 while Wood Processing and Intermob Fairs will held between October 14 and 18th.
